Scope

GB/T 45604-2025 is the English-translated version of 船舶与海洋技术大抓力平衡锚.

GB/T 45604-2025 covers high holding power balance anchors, anchors whose flukes swing and fall back upright under their own weight once the anchor leaves the seabed and which hold at least twice as well as a stockless anchor.

It sets the design, from the structure built of shank, flukes, pins, cross pin, head and anchor shackle to the basic specifications and sizes chosen by the ship's equipment number and the chemical composition of the component materials, then manufacture, test methods, marking and the inspection certificate.

Two normative annexes give the anchor tension test and the offshore holding power test, and an informative annex the typical structure and dimensions. Anchor foundries, shipyards and certifying bodies use it for design, selection, manufacture and acceptance.

Identical to ISO 24061:2021, it was issued on 25 April 2025 and applies from 1 August 2025.

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting.

This document is equivalent to ISO 24061:2021 "Ships and offshore technology - High-holding balance anchors".

1 Scope

This document specifies the design, manufacture, test methods, marking and inspection certificate of high holding force balancing anchors.

This document applies to the design, selection, manufacture and acceptance of high holding force balanced anchors (hereinafter referred to as anchors).

2 Normative references

The contents of the following documents constitute the essential clauses of this document through normative references in this text, among which the dated references For referenced documents without a date, only the version corresponding to that date applies to this document; for referenced documents without a date, the latest version (including all amendments) applies to This document.

3 Terms and definitions

For the purpose of this document, the terms and definitions defined in ISO 3828 and the following apply.

3.1 HHPB Anchor

An anchor with rotatable flukes that automatically returns to a vertical position by gravity when lifted from the seabed. The holding force of the anchor is at least Twice as long as a stockless anchor.

4 Design

4.1 Structure

Anchors are generally composed of anchor handles, anchor claws, pins, cross pins, heads and anchor shackles. See Appendix A for typical structures.

4.2 Basic specifications and dimensions

The anchor should be selected according to the number of ship outfittings. It should be divided into different specifications according to the theoretical mass of the anchor. The corresponding basic dimensions are shown in Table A.1.

4.3 Materials

4.3.1 The chemical composition of anchor component materials shall comply with the requirements of Table 1.
