Scope

GB/T 45602-2025 is the English-translated version of 船舶与海洋技术可调式滚轮闸刀掣链器.

GB/T 45602-2025 covers adjustable roller-type chain stoppers, the deck fittings that hold an anchor chain and take its pull clear of the chain wheel.

It fixes their design, strength, safety and operating requirements, with structure, materials, acceptance and marking, and defines right-hand and left-hand versions by the side from which the stopper is opened and secured.

The blade position can be adjusted after the stopper is fixed to the hull so the anchor stows better, and the fitting also guides the chain through its groove and roller.

Designed as a Class A stopper to ISO 6325, it must carry its rated load, 80 percent of the breaking load of the matching chain, with no permanent deformation. Shipyards, outfitting makers and surveyors use it.

Identical to ISO 24045:2021, it was issued on 25 April 2025 and applies from 1 August 2025.

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting.

This document is equivalent to ISO 24045:2021 "Ships and marine technology - Adjustable roller blade chain stoppers".

1 Scope

This document specifies the design, strength, safety, functional and operating requirements for adjustable roller blade chain stoppers.

The structure, materials, acceptance and marking of roller knife chain stoppers.

This document applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of adjustable roller blade chain stoppers.

ISO 7825 Shipbuilding-Deck machinery-General requirements For the purpose of this document, the terms and definitions defined in ISO 3828 and ISO 4568 and the following apply.

3.1 Adjustable roller blade chain stopper

A device fixed to the ship structure and separated from the anchor chain wheel, used to fix the anchor chain and withstand the tension of the anchor.

Note: After the adjustable roller blade chain stopper is installed on the hull structure, the blade position can be adjusted according to the storage situation of the anchor, so as to achieve a better storage effect of the anchor.

It guides the anchor chain and has the function of guiding the anchor chain when the anchor chain passes through the chain guide groove and the roller.

3.2 Right-hand adjustable roller blade chain stopper

The adjustable roller blade chain stopper is operated from the right side to open and secure when looking from the hawser wheel to the chain stopper.

3.3 Left-hand adjustable roller blade chain stopper left-hand adjustable

4 Design, strength and safety requirements

4.1 According to the requirements of ISO 6325 for Class A chain stoppers, adjustable roller blade chain stoppers should be designed and manufactured to withstand the rated load.

There is no permanent deformation and the rated load it can withstand is 80% of the breaking load of the anchor chain of corresponding diameter.
