Remote sensing data is obtained through various payloads carried by meteorological satellites and received and processed by ground systems.

3.2

The characteristics of meteorological satellite data are analyzed, selected, described, and recorded as items, and then the items are organized into For the directory process.

Note. An entry is a record that describes data characteristics and cataloging business information based on certain rules and methods, and is the basic element of a data directory.

4 Cataloging rules

4.1 Items

The items in the meteorological satellite data catalog are divided into basic items and extended items.

a) Basic items include. satellite series, satellite name, instrument name, data level, data name, data version, calendar year, and date.

Among them, calendar year describes the starting observation year of the data, and date describes the starting observation date of the data.

b) Extended items include. data format, spatial resolution, time period type, auxiliary data, area range, and projection method.

4.2 Item Naming

The naming of basic items should comply with the provisions of Table 1, and the naming of extended items should comply with the provisions of Table 2.For examples, see Appendix A.
