Scope
GB/T 45487-2025 is the English-translated version of 船舶与海上技术 海上环境保护 船舶燃油消耗数据收集规范.
GB/T 45487-2025 sets out how a ship records the fuel oil it burns so the figures can be reported year by year.
It describes what information to hold on the vessel and its fuel equipment, the practical methods for measuring fuel consumption, distance travelled and time at sea, the data report itself, data quality control and the direct measurement of CO2 emissions, with annexes giving an example data collection plan, guidance on automatic fuel consumption data acquisition systems and a normative reporting format.
It is written for ships of 5 000 gross tonnage and above covered by Regulation 22A of MARPOL Annex VI. Shipowners, operators and the yards fitting measurement equipment use it.
Identical to ISO 23765:2021, it was issued on 28 March 2025 and applies from 1 July 2025.
