Scope

GB/T 45408-2025 is the English-translated version of 信息技术 生态环境大数据 数据分类与代码.

GB/T 45408-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the numbering scheme under which environmental data is filed — the four-level code built from two-digit fields, the fourteen first-level domains from natural ecological protection and water, marine and atmospheric environment through solid waste, pollution sources and nuclear and radiation safety to monitoring and environmental spatial information, the seventy-two tables of category names and codes, and the rule for adding a category without colliding with one already in use. At 33,000 words it is almost entirely tables, and the tables are the product. First edition, in force from 1 October 2025. Issued on 28 March 2025, it has been in force since 1 October 2025.

Information Technology Ecological Environment Big Data Data classification and coding

1 Scope

This document specifies the first-level, second-level, third-level and fourth-level classifications of ecological environment big data and their classification codes.

This document applies to the collection, exchange, processing, use and management of ecological and environmental big data.

2 Normative references

This document has no normative references.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 big data for ecological environment

A collection of data generated and applied in the process of ecological environment investigation, monitoring, governance and restoration.

4 Data classification code structure

The data classification code structure is shown in Figure 1.The data classification code in this document adopts a multi-field structure. A complete code consists of N characters.

Each field is a code of the corresponding level. The codes of each level are written from left to right, starting with the first level code and the following levels in order.

Decrease until the Nth level of code.

Each level code consists of 2 Arabic numerals, ranging from 01 to 99.This document gives the code for each level, respectively.

Use the codes corresponding to the corresponding category names given in Tables 1 to 72.Refer to Tables 1 to 72 for the categories of the fifth to Nth level codes.

The new category name and its uniqueness among the categories at the same level must be ensured. The next category can only be set under an existing category. Level category.
