1 Scope

GB/T 45364-2025 sets the general technical requirements for domestic vacuum suction cup products, the suction-mounted hooks, racks, holders and bathroom fittings that China makes and exports in enormous quantities. The product's whole claim is that it holds without drilling, and its characteristic failure is that it lets go, quietly and later, dropping whatever was hung on it, which in a bathroom means glass onto a hard floor. The standard sets the classification and the requirements: the load-bearing capacity and the safety factor applied to it, the holding time under sustained load, which is the test that separates a good suction cup from a bad one, the behaviour after temperature and humidity cycling and after wetting, the requirements on the substrate on which the load rating is valid, the materials and their durability and the corrosion resistance of the metal parts, and the appearance. It then gives the test methods, the inspection rules, and the marking and instructions, including the statement of the surfaces on which the product may be used. It takes effect on 1 September 2025.
