GB/T 45344-2025 is the English-translated version of 建筑用装配式预制燃气管道通用技术条件.

GB/T 45344-2025 is the Chinese standard for prefabricated gas pipework assemblies used in buildings: the riser sections, manifolds and meter connections made up in a factory and installed on site as units rather than cut and joined by hand in the building.

The point of prefabrication here is the joint: most gas leaks in a building begin at a connection made on site, and a factory-made and factory-tested assembly removes that step.

The standard sets the classification and designation, the materials, the design and structural requirements, the requirements for the assembly and its joints including strength and tightness, the corrosion protection, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, packaging, transport and storage.
