format and compliance test methods.
As one of the biometric images, iris images have been used to verify personal identity.
In the application of authentication, an exchangeable digital iris image data format is needed to achieve interoperability, which is very necessary.
In order to standardize this interoperability, the International Standards Organization ISO/IEC compiled and published the first generation of iris maps from 2005 to 2007.
ISO/IEC 19794-6:2006 Biometric Data Exchange Format Part 6: Iris Image Data According to the "my country Iris Image Data Exchange Report", the standard has been transformed into the recommended national standard GB/T 26237.6-2014.In.2011, the second generation of iris image data was exchanged.
The exchange format was published in the second edition of ISO/IEC 19794.The second generation iris image data exchange format ISO/IEC 19794-6:2011 New useful data elements, such as those related to the quality of iris samples, have been added to all parts of the ISO/IEC 19794 series.
The header data structure was harmonized in, and XML encoding was added in addition to binary encoding.
Based on the limitations of the overall design of the ISO/IEC 19794 series of standards, ISO/IEC 19794-6:2006 is different from ISO/IEC 19794-6.
2011 is not compatible, which brings difficulties to the expansion of products applicable to ISO/IEC 19794-6:2006 to support ISO/IEC 19794-6:2011.
The obstacle.
Taking into account the future need for additional data elements and to avoid future compatibility issues, ISO/IEC JTC1/SC37 developed as the third generation biometric data exchange format, ISO/IEC 39794 series defines an extensible biometric data conversion format that can the standard includes future extensions in a defined manner. Part 6 is Extensible Iris Image Data, ISO/IEC 39794-6 Information technology—Extensible biometric data exchange format—Part 6: Iris image data.
This document aims to provide a general and extensible iris image data format for iris recognition application systems that need to exchange iris image data.
This document contains the detailed definition of the attribute data elements of the iris image record, the tagged binary and XML-encoded extensible formats of the record.
format for storing and transmitting iris images and certain attribute data elements, as well as consistency standards.
Appendix A specifies the formal structure description that the tagged binary-encoded and XML-encoded iris image extensible records should conform to, respectively.
ASN.1 schema and XML schema. Appendix B provides an example of encoding an iris image extensible record. Appendix C specifies the Appendix D contains the conformance test methods, test assertions and test procedures for the iris image extensible record conformance test.
Suggestions for iris image acquisition are given.
