Scope
GB/T 44952-2024 is the English-translated version of 地面电场监测技术要求.
GB/T 44952-2024 is the Chinese national standard covering the near-surface atmospheric electric field — what is recorded each minute, the mean, the maximum and the minimum intensity, the polarity of the field and its rate of change, the ground field mill and the supply, temperature, humidity and pressure conditions it has to keep working in, the siting, the data, the network of stations, and the maintenance and calibration that keeps readings comparable between them. First edition, under the China Meteorological Administration. In force from 1 March 2025. Issued on 28 November 2024, it has been in force since 1 March 2025.

4 Monitoring content
The ground electric field monitoring (hereinafter referred to as “monitoring”) includes the minute intensity average, minute intensity maximum, minute intensity minimum and electric field intensity.
Field polarity, rate of change, and corresponding time.
5 Monitoring instruments
5.1 Instrument selection
The monitoring instrument should be a ground electric field meter.
5.2 Operating conditions
5.2.1 Power supply conditions When using AC power supply, the voltage and frequency should be 220V±44V, 50Hz±5Hz respectively; when using DC power supply The voltage should be 12V±0.6V.
5.2.2 The operating environment should meet the following conditions.
a) Temperature. -40°C~60°C;
b) Relative humidity. 5%~95%;
c) Atmospheric pressure. 500hPa~1100hPa.
5.3 Performance
The main performance of the monitoring instrument should meet the requirements of Table 1.
