Scope

GB/T 44937.6-2025 is the English-translated version of 集成电路 电磁发射测量 第6部分:传导发射测量 磁场探头法.

GB/T 44937.6-2025 — This document describes the use of miniature magnetic field probes for non-contact current measurement to evaluate the radio frequency (RF) current of integrated circuit (IC) pins.

The method. This method measures the RF current generated by an IC in the frequency range of 150kHz to 1GHz, and is applicable to single or multiple ICs on a standard test board.

Measurements were taken of ICs to characterize and compare their RF currents. This method is also used to evaluate ICs on printed circuit boards (PCBs) in actual use.

The electromagnetic properties of a single IC or a group of ICs are analyzed to reduce emissions. This method is called the "magnetic field probe method".

4 Overview

4.1 Measurement Basics

Radiated emissions from a PCB are partly caused by the RF current generated by the IC on the PCB, which excites the PCB traces.

The PCB ground plane and power plane, as well as the cables connecting the PCB, can all function as RF antennas to generate radiated emissions. (The last sentence appears to be incomplete and possibly refers to a separate topic. "Emitting electricity...") the amplitude is proportional to the driving RF current, but is also affected by the PCB design, the radiation efficiency of the "pseudo-antenna," and the noise coupling from the IC to the "pseudo-antenna." the significant impact of the combined path coefficient.

For this emission mechanism, the driving electromotive force of the IC is used by users and manufacturers to estimate and predict the electromagnetic characteristics of the PCB, module, or system.

A crucial parameter. Measuring the emitter drive electromotive force can be achieved by measuring the RF current generated by the IC under test. Therefore, the measured RF noise...

Acoustic current can reflect the driving electromotive force of unintended electromagnetic emissions from ICs.
