First edition, under the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In force from 1 April 2025. Issued on 31 December 2024, it has been in force since 1 April 2025.

1 Scope

This document specifies the evaluation activities for space high-energy astronomical scientific observation proposals, including the classification of scientific observation proposals, evaluation process, and evaluation work.

Projects and requirements, etc.

This document is applicable to the evaluation activities of proposals for space high-energy astronomical science observations, and the evaluation activities of other space astronomical observation proposals shall be implemented as a reference.

Note. In this document, space high-energy astronomy refers to observational research on X-rays, gamma rays and high-energy particles carried out in space.

2 Normative references

3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 30114.1, GB/T 30114.3 and the following apply to this document.

3.1

The proposal solicitation instructions officially released to the public.

Note. The announcement of the observation opportunity includes specific information such as the time and content of the proposal collection.

3.2 Cycle Proposal

Observation applications for this round of observations are collected publicly during a specific period of time.

Note. Each round of observation usually lasts for one year or half a year.

3.3

An observation application submitted temporarily for sudden astronomical phenomena or other scientific and calibration needs.

3.4

Observation requests using dedicated observing time from the project's chief scientist.

3.5 Core Proposal coreproposal

Observation applications are submitted by the core team of the project to achieve the core scientific objectives of the project.

3.6 Guest Proposal

Observation requests submitted by general scientific users to achieve specific scientific goals.
