GB/T 44879-2024 is the Chinese national standard covering the identifier that names a single machine inside a worldwide OID tree — the numbering rules and the branches given to the common technology nodes, to identification systems already in use, to third-party bodies and to the manufacturers themselves, the marking requirements that put the identifier on the machine, and the resolution requirements, without which the number cannot be turned back into data about the machine. An informative annex works the numbering through on real construction machinery products. First edition, in force from 1 June 2025. Issued on 28 November 2024, it has been in force since 1 June 2025.

1 Scope
This document specifies the OID-based engineering machinery product identification numbering requirements, marking requirements and parsing requirements.
This document applies to the construction, application and maintenance of the engineering machinery product identification and resolution system.

5 Numbering requirements
5.1 Numbering Rules
The OID-based engineering machinery product identification numbering rules should comply with the relevant provisions of GB/T 26231 and adopt heterogeneous compatibility based on OID.
The identification system has a hierarchical structure. The engineering machinery product identification has a unique OID number, including the engineering machinery industry OID node number The identification number consists of three parts. number, next level node number and specific number. The identification numbering rules are shown in Figure 1.
