Scope

GB/T 44853-2024 is the English-translated version of 城市轨道交通车辆 电空制动系统.

GB/T 44853-2024 is the Chinese national standard covering the compressed air brake under electric control that stops a metro or urban rapid transit car — the operating environment it has to work in, the technical requirements on the system, the test methods that verify them, the inspection rules, and the marking, packaging, transport and storage, with the vehicle-controlled and the bogie-controlled arrangements both covered, since where the control unit sits decides how finely brake effort can be distributed. First edition, under the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. In force from 1 May 2025. Issued on 26 October 2024, it has been in force since 1 May 2025.
