General Specifications for the Protection of Minors on Smart Mobile Terminals
1 Scope
This document specifies the near-end protection mode and remote protection mode provided by smart mobile terminals to protect the physical and mental health of minors.
Technical requirements and corresponding test methods are described.
This document is applicable to guiding the design and development of protection modes for minors in smart mobile terminals such as smart mobile communication terminals and tablet computers.
Children's educational tablet computers, children's smart watches and other terminals for minors or other general terminals shall be implemented accordingly.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 minors
A natural person under the age of 18.
3.2 guardian
A person who has guardianship responsibility for a minor according to the law.
Example. A parent is the guardian of a minor child.
Note. This includes persons who act on behalf of minors to perform civil legal acts, protect the personal rights, property rights and other legitimate rights and interests of minors in accordance with the law.
3.3 Smart mobile terminal
The terminal can access the communication network, has an operating system for running application software, and allows users to install, run and uninstall it by themselves.

3.4 Minors protection mode
When a minor uses a smart mobile terminal, the terminal provides a function or mode that allows the guardian to control the minor's use of the smart mobile terminal.
Guide and regulate the behavior of mobile terminals.
3.5 Local protection
When a guardian provides a smart mobile terminal to a minor for temporary or short-term use within a certain period of time, the terminal must provide the minor with Age protection mode.
3.6 remote protection
When a minor uses a smart mobile terminal and is away from his/her guardian, the terminal provides a function or mode that allows the guardian to remotely check the minor's View and manage the status of terminal use by minors.
