1 Scope

GB/T 44379-2024 is the Chinese code table for the world's main air ports of entry and the locations related to them, the air counterpart of the railway table GB/T 44372. Air freight and express carry a small share of the tonnage and a very large share of the value of Chinese trade, and every shipment generates a customs declaration, an air waybill and a set of tracking records that have to name an origin, a destination and any transit point in a form every system agrees on. This standard supplies those identifiers, adopting the air-relevant subset of UN/LOCODE.
