Scope
GB/T 44361-2024 is the English-translated version of 工业车辆 检查与维护规范.
China's national specification for the inspection and maintenance of industrial trucks. A forklift is among the few machines that is both a workplace vehicle and a lifting appliance, and it is used harder than either category usually implies: multiple shifts, inexperienced operators, and a working life measured in tens of thousands of hours. Its critical components fail in ways that are detectable in advance and catastrophic if missed. The mast chains stretch and their links wear, and a chain failure drops the load; the forks themselves wear at the heel and can crack, and a fork that fails at load drops it on whoever is nearby; the hydraulics leak and lower a raised load slowly; and the tyres, the brakes and the steering are those of a vehicle carrying its load ahead of its front axle. The specification sets out what is checked daily by the operator and what is examined periodically by a competent person.
