1 Scope

This document stipulates the origin and characteristics of the Zaozhuang Black Pig breed, its body shape and appearance, adult weight and size, production performance and basic requirements for breeding. Describe the determination method.

This document is applicable to the breed identification of Zaozhuang Black Pig.

3 Terms and definitions

There are no terms or definitions that require definition in this document.

Zaozhuang Black Pig is originally produced in Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province, and is mainly distributed in Yicheng, Shanting, Taierzhuang, Tengzhou and other places. The central production area is located in Tengzhou City.

Heshanting District. Zaozhuang Black Pig has the characteristics of strong adaptability, high fertility, tolerance to roughage, and tender meat.

Zaozhuang Black Pig has dense black fur, a large body, and a solid physique. It has a medium-sized head, a medium-length, slightly tilted muzzle, medium-sized ears, and a medium-sized, semi-sharp... The ears are droopy, the base of the ears is slightly hard, the forehead is wide and has irregular rhombus-shaped wrinkles. The back is single, the waist is slightly concave, the abdomen is large and slightly droopy, and the skin on the chest and abdomen is wrinkled.

The limbs are strong and slightly abducted, the buttocks are plump, and the tail is thick and long. The nipples are arranged neatly, with more than 7 pairs of effective nipples. See the attached photo of the Zaozhuang Black Pig breed Record A.
