Scope

GB/T 43649-2024 is the English-translated version of 木地板和拼花地板术语.

GB/T 43649-2024 is the Chinese national vocabulary standard for wood flooring and parquet, modified to adopt ISO 5323:2019. It defines the terms used for wooden flooring and parquet flooring, and it applies to their research and development, production, testing, sales and teaching.

Compared with the ISO text, it adds terms for tongue and groove upper and lower edges, removable floors and several wood flooring and parquet types, because these are in frequent use in the domestic industry.

It also changes the definition of standing floor boards, since domestic boards are not limited to straight four-sided prisms. The terms section begins with wood, solid wood and parquet elements.

Issued on 15 March 2024 and applicable from 1 October 2024, it replaces no earlier edition.

Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting.

This document is modified to adopt ISO 5323:2019 "Terminology for wooden and parquet floors".

The technical differences between this document and ISO 5323:2019 and their reasons are as follows.

--- Added terms and definitions for the installation of tongue and groove upper edge and tongue and groove lower edge, removable floor, wooden floor and parquet floor (see 3.16, 3.17, 3.38, 3.49~3.54), which is an indispensable and frequently used term in the domestic wood flooring industry.

It is widely used in research and development, production, sales, teaching and other fields;

--- The definition of standing floor boards has been changed (see 3.27, 3.26 of ISO 5323:2019). Domestic standing floor boards are not limited to straight four-dimensional boards. Prism;

--- Deleted the terms and definitions of non-wood lignified materials (see 3.2 of ISO 5323:2019), which are not included in the terminology of this document. within the enclosure;

1 Scope

This document defines the terms and definitions of wooden flooring and parquet flooring.

This document applies to the research and development, production, testing, sales, teaching, etc. of wooden flooring and parquet flooring products.

3 Terms and definitions

3.1 Wood

It comes from the secondary xylem of trees and is mainly composed of cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin. [Source: LY/T 1788-2023, 3.1.1]

3.2 Solid wood

Wood (3.1) which has been processed but not reconstituted in any way.

Note: Processing refers to sawing, planing or other processing. When wood is pulped, chipped (shavings), fiberized and other materials (such as adhesives) are added, it is considered Reorganization.
