Scope
GB/T 43424-2023 is the English-translated version of 空间数据与信息传输系统 运载火箭/航天器图像通信要求.
GB/T 43424-2023 specifies the image communication requirements for launch vehicles and spacecraft.
For each of the two it fixes image quality requirements, image compression coding requirements, the image data frame format and the error correction coding requirements - for spacecraft, error correction and erasure coding - and its contents list also covers a general clause and the abbreviations used.
Clause 1 states that it applies to the design of communication systems for engineering imagery from launch vehicles and spacecraft, such as surveillance images.

1 Scope
This document specifies the image communication requirements for launch vehicles and spacecraft, including image quality requirements, image compression coding requirements, image data Frame format and error correction/erasure coding requirements.
This document is applicable to the design of communication business systems for launch vehicles and spacecraft engineering images (such as surveillance images).

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 33475.2-2016 and the following apply to this document.

For each block, a slice is decoded using intra prediction or inter prediction using up to two motion vectors and a reference index.
