Scope

GB/T 43405-2023 is the English-translated version of 封闭式货车货物隔离装置及系固点技术要求和试验方法.

GB/T 43405-2023 specifies the technical requirements and the test methods for the cargo isolation devices and the securing points of enclosed trucks.

Clause 1 states that it applies to the design and production of category N1 and N2 enclosed trucks with a maximum vehicle design total mass of 7500 kg or less, and a note adds that the document does not take into account the extreme loads that may occur in an accident such as a vehicle collision.

Clause 3 defines the closed truck, whose cargo area is a closed body integrated with the cab in a one-box or two-box structure, the lashing point, a fixed or integrated component on the vehicle that is connected to the securing device and transfers the cargo securing force to the vehicle structure, and the lashing device, the attachment points, tensioning members, tensioning devices and end fittings used to secure cargo to the vehicle, each with notes listing the forms it may take.

Clause 2 cites GB/T 3730.1, GB/T 3730.2, GB/T 15089, GB/T 23914.2 and GB/T 29120.

The foreword records that the document is a modified adoption of ISO 27956:2009 with many structural adjustments and many technical differences, that Appendix A holds the comparison list of structure number changes between the two documents and Appendix B the list of the technical differences and their causes, and that the editorial changes include a description of the longitudinal length of the effective cargo surface added as a note in 3.5, the deletion of the additional description of the distance between the reaction force point and the measured securing point given in 4.2.1 of ISO 27956:2009, and a changed label diagram for the securing point information, with the tensile force in kN, in Figure 9.

The foreword also states that the document was proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and is under the jurisdiction of the National Automotive Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC114).

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting.

This document is modified to adopt ISO 27956:2009 "Safety Performance Requirements and Test Methods for Cargo of Road Vehicles and Vans".

Compared with ISO 27956:2009, this document has many structural adjustments. Comparison list of structure number changes between the two files See Appendix A.

Compared with ISO 27956:2009, this document has many technical differences. Vertical text is used in the outer margin of the clauses involved.

Single lines (|) are marked. A list of these technical differences and their causes is provided in Appendix B. The following editorial changes have been made to this document.

1 Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements and test methods for enclosed truck cargo isolation devices and securing points.

This document applies to the design and production of N1 category and N2 category enclosed trucks with a maximum vehicle design total mass less than or equal to 7500kg. With use, other vehicles will be implemented accordingly.

Note: This document does not take into account the extreme loads that may occur in an accident (such as a vehicle collision).

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Closed truck (close van)

The structure of the cargo area is a closed body and is integrated with the cab, and the body structure is a one-box or two-box type truck.

3.2 Lashing point

A fixed component or integrated component on the vehicle that is connected to the securing device in an appropriate manner and is used to transfer the cargo securing force to the vehicle structure.

Note: Integrated devices may be loops, loops, ties, hooks, eyelets, lugs, edge hooks, threaded connections or crossbars.

3.3 Lashing device

Devices such as attachment points, tensioning members, tensioning devices and end fittings (if required) to secure cargo to the vehicle.

Note 1. The tensioning member can be an annular webbing or a strip webbing, etc.

Note 2. The tensioning device may be a ratchet tensioner, a tensioning buckle or a bolting gallows.

Note 3. End accessories include safety hooks, flat hooks, base hooks, triangular rings, chain connectors, double-pronged claw hooks, single-pronged claw hooks, etc.
