Scope

GB/T 4334.6-2015 is the English-translated version of 不锈钢5%硫酸腐蚀试验方法.

GB/T 4334.6-2015 specifies the samples, test solution, test equipment, test conditions and procedures, evaluation of test results and test report for the 5 % sulfuric acid corrosion test of stainless steel.

Clause 1 states that it applies to the determination of the corrosion weight loss of molybdenum-containing austenitic stainless steel in 5 % sulfuric acid solution, in order to test the uniform corrosion resistance of stainless steel, and adds that other stainless steels can also be tested by reference to it.

The clauses the draft shows are Scope; Normative references; Sample; and test solution; the page prints no table of contents, and the only later clause title it names is clause 6, Test conditions and procedures, quoted in the foreword.

Clause 3 requires a sample surface area of 10 cm2 to 30 cm2, cut from the test material so that the area perpendicular to the rolling or forging direction is not more than one half of the sample surface area, with the sampling and preparation of castings, weld metal and other materials agreed between the supply and demand sides; the sample is cut by on-line cutting or sawing, a sheared sample must have the sheared affected area removed by cutting or polishing, and any attached oxide skin is removed by cutting or grinding, without affecting the structure or the surface stress condition.

The sample is then ground in sequence with sandpaper or emery cloth conforming to GB/T 2481.1 and GB/T 2481.2, avoiding heating, finished by wet grinding with water sandpaper of grain size not less than F320 to a surface roughness Ra of not more than 0.8 micrometres, measured with a vernier caliper, degreased with a suitable chloride-free solvent or detergent, washed with distilled or deionized water and dried.

Clause 4 prepares the test solution by adding 29 mL of superior grade pure sulfuric acid conforming to GB/T 625, of density 1.84 g/mL, to 500 mL of distilled or deionized water and diluting to 1000 mL, giving a concentration of 5.0 % plus or minus 0.1 % by mass and a density at 20 degrees C of 1.03103 g/mL to 1.03237 g/mL; the page breaks off there, so the clauses on test equipment, test conditions and procedures, evaluation of results and the test report are not shown.

Clause 2 cites GB/T 625, GB/T 2481.1, GB/T 2481.2, GB/T 8170 and GB/T 16545.

The foreword lists the changes from the 2000 edition: sample roughness requirements were added, the specific method of preparing the 5 % sulfuric acid was added, the test device schematic was replaced by more general test equipment, the weighing accuracy of the sample before and after the test was raised to 0.1 mg, and GB/T 16545 was added as a reference standard in clause 6.

It replaces GB/T 4334.6-2000, which the page also records as the superseded standard, was issued on September 11, 2015 and has applied since June 1, 2016, and the foreword adds that the previous editions of GB/T 4334.6 were GB/T 4334.6-1984 and GB/T 4334.6-2000.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.

This standard replaces GB/T 4334.6-2000 "stainless steel 5% sulfuric acid corrosion test methods", compared with the GB/T 4334.6-2000 main To technical changes are as follows.

--- Increasing the sample roughness requirements;

--- Increasing the specific method of preparation of 5% sulfuric acid;

--- Replace the test device schematic, using a more general test equipment;

--- Modify the sample weighing accuracy before and after the test, the accuracy increased to 0.1mg;

--- In Chapter 6, "Test conditions and procedures," added reference standard GB/T 16545;

--- GB/T 4334.1 ~ GB/T 4334.5 has been GB/T 4334-2008 instead.

The standard proposed by China Iron and Steel Association Committee.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the corrosion test samples of stainless steel 5% sulfuric acid test solution, test equipment, test conditions and procedures, test results Evaluation and test report fruit.

This standard applies to the determination of molybdenum-containing austenitic stainless steel in 5% sulfuric acid solution corrosion weight loss, in order to test the corrosion resistance of stainless steel uniform can. Other stainless steel can also be implemented by reference.

2 Normative references

The following documents for the application of this document is essential. For dated references, only the dated version suitable for use herein Member. For undated references, the latest edition (including any amendments) applies to this document.

3 Sample

3.1 Surface area of the sample was 10cm2 ~ 30cm2, a sample from the test material is cut out, and rolling or forging a direction perpendicular to the area should be not more than one-half of the sample surface area. Sampling and sample preparation methods castings, welded metal and other materials, the two sides negotiated by supply and demand.

3.2 cutting method using the principle of on-line sample cutting or sawing, such as shear, the need to cut cross section of cutting or polishing method Reprocessed to remove the sheared affected area.

3.3 Oxide skin attached, to get rid of by cutting or grinding the sample, sample processing method should not produce tissue and surface stress condition influences.

3.4 sample was consistent with sandpaper or emery cloth GB/T 2481.1 and GB/T 2481.2 predetermined sequential grinding. Avoid sample heating The case of the sample was polished, and finally with a particle size of not less than the F320 water sandpaper wet grinding, the sample surface roughness after processing Ra value is not more than 0.8µm.

3.5 samples after grinding, with a vernier caliper measurements, and then with a suitable solvent or detergent (non-chloride) to the oil, and finally with distilled water or washed with deionized water and dried.

4 Test solution

First into 500mL of distilled or deionized water in a beaker, then add 29mL line with GB/T 625 provisions of superior grade pure sulfuric acid (Density 1.84g/mL), and then adding distilled water or deionized water into 1000mL solution, the concentration of the test solution was 5.0% ± 0.1% (Mass fraction), the corresponding density at 20 °C for 1.03103g/mL ~ 1.03237g/mL.
