Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting.

This document is modified to adopt ISO 2030:2018 "Particle size analysis of granular softwood by mechanical screening method".

Compared with ISO 2030:2018, this document has many structural adjustments. See the comparison list of structural number changes between the two documents. Appendix A.

Compared with ISO 2030:2018, this document has many technical differences. Use vertical single words in the outer margins of the clauses involved.

They are marked with a line (|). A list of these technical differences and their causes is shown in Appendix B. The following editorial changes have been made to this document.

1 Scope

This document describes a method for obtaining the particle size distribution of granular softwood by mechanical sieving.

This document is applicable to the determination of particle size of mechanically screened softwood particles.

3 Terms and definitions

3.1 Granularity size

3.2 Mechanical screening

Screening using one or a group of test sieves with the help of mechanical shaking. [Source: GB/T 5329-2003,2.3.5]

3.3 Cover

A cover that fits snugly over the sieve to prevent the material being screened from escaping. [Source: GB/T 5329-2003,2.2.11]

3.4 Sieve

A device that installs the screen surface in the screen frame for screening. [Source: GB/T 5329-2003,2.2.1]
