Introduction
"Design of Liquefied Natural Gas Units and Equipment Floating LNG Units" aims to establish the standards applicable to floating LNG unit projects Professional design guidelines for processes, cryogenic pipelines, automatic control, safety and environmental protection, etc. are aimed at designing floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) units.
Provides functional guidance and recommended practices to ensure the safe and environmentally friendly design and operation of floating LNG units. GB/T 43130 "Liquefied natural gas Plants and Equipment The design of a floating LNG plant is proposed to consist of two parts.
---Part 1: General requirements. The aim is to provide for all floating LNG units (including liquefaction, storage, evaporation, transfer and disposal).
Provides functional guidance for the design and operation of equipment handling liquefied natural gas).
---Part 2: Special requirements for floating reception, storage and gasification units. Intended for floating reception as described in ISO 20257-1 Provides specific requirements and guidance for the design and operation of storage gasification units (FSRUs). Suitable for new and retrofitted FSRUs.
The FSRU is similar in shape to an LNG carrier and has the functions of receiving, storing and regasifying LNG, as well as providing onshore natural gas pipelines.
The function of pipeline transportation and metering of natural gas. Most of the newly built FSRUs at present have the attributes of transport ships. When there is no FSRU charter, they often it is used as a transport ship, and international and domestic standards have put forward comprehensive and mature technical requirements for LNG transport ships, so liquefied natural gas the function of natural gas carriers is not the focus of this document, but points to the "Code for Classification of Offshore Floating Units" and "Bulk Transport of Liquefied Gases" Standard specifications such as "Code for Ship Construction and Equipment", "Code for Materials and Welding", "Code for Offshore Oil and Gas Processing Systems".
ISO 20257 includes requirements for piers when FSRUs are moored on piers. There are already mature requirements for LNG ship terminals in China.
JTS165-5 "Liquefied Natural Gas Terminal Design Specification" is a mandatory industry standard for water transportation engineering construction. It has been revised three times and is currently the latest the new version already covers FSRU dock design, so dock mooring is not the focus of this document. But considering that FSRU may have global Mooring in different ports, so the general requirements in principle are still retained.
