Scope

GB/T 4307-2025 is the English-translated version of 起重吊钩 术语.

GB/T 4307-2025 is the Chinese national vocabulary for the hooks fitted to lifting appliances.

It names and defines each type and illustrates it with a figure: single, double and four-point hooks on a cylindrical shank, with or without a safety latch or a pin hole, C-shaped hooks, eye hooks, self-locking hooks, plate hooks, clevis hooks including one with a chain slot, swivel hooks and laminated hooks.

A further clause sets out the classification of lifting hooks, and an index lists the terms. Five hook types in common use were added in this edition, while the cast eye hooks and cast clevis hooks of the previous one were dropped.

Crane and rigging makers, inspection bodies and the drafters of other hook standards use it for common wording. It replaces GB/T 4307-2005, was issued on 30 May 2025 and applies from 1 December 2025.
