1 Scope

This document defines terms related to the washing operation of dry cleaning machines.

The defined terms and definitions apply to the field of dry cleaning; some terms and definitions may have different meanings in other fields.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1

Drymass

The quality of laundry to be washed, including clothing that has been properly processed and laundry that has just been received.

3.2

quality ratioratioofthemass

volume load ratio

The ratio of the capacity of the tumbler (3.21) to the loading capacity (3.19).

Note. The unit is liter per kilogram (L/kg).

loading

Load the laundry into the tumbler (3.21).

3.4

Dip volume dip

The volume of solvent in the outer cylinder (3.22).

NOTE. Manufacturers usually specify low and high immersion values for each machine.

chargedsolvent

The process of injecting dry cleaning solvent into the machine.

3.6

circulatingbath

A process stage in which the solvent is continuously circulated and discharged from the outer cylinder (3.22) and returned to the outer cylinder (3.22) directly or through a filter.

3.7

cleaning process cleaning process

A complete combination of various machine operations, including pre-washing (3.11), washing (3.12), rinsing, spin-drying (3.13), drying, deodorizing (3.14), etc.
