1 Scope
This document describes the testing and evaluation methods for mattress firmness grade distribution.
This document is applicable to the testing and evaluation of hardness grade distribution of various mattress products.
This document does not apply to infant mattresses, children's mattresses, water-filled mattresses, air mattresses and other special mattress products.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions as defined in QB/T 1952.2 and QB/T 4839 apply to this document.
3.1 Hardness rating firmness rating
Obtained through the mattress hardness grade test method stipulated in this document, it represents the softness and hardness of the mattress and is closely related to the softness and hardness perceived by the human body. Relevant indicators.
Note: Use a number from 1 to 10 to indicate the hardness level of the mattress. The smaller the number, the harder the mattress.
4 Instruments and Equipment
4.1 Mattress hardness testing equipment
The schematic diagram of the instrument is shown in Figure 1. The equipment should be equipped with a data acquisition device to collect the force and displacement data output by the mechanical testing device.
