1 Scope

This document specifies the design and operation, detailed specifications, acceptance testing and marking system of anchor winches.

This document is applicable to hydraulic and electric drives installed on the stern of ocean transportation ships and shallow water engineering vessels, and using wire ropes for lifting and throwing.

Anchor lifting winches for anchors and anchor lifting winches for inland river vessels can also be used as a reference.
