1 Scope

This document specifies the classification, requirements, marking, packaging and product certificates and quality certificates for steel mechanical connectors.

This document is applicable to straight threads, tapered threads and extrusion connectors for mechanical connection of steel bars in concrete structures. The steel bars for mechanical connection meet the

GB/T 1499.2, GB/T 33953, GB/T 33959, and GB/T 13014 require a diameter of 12mm~50mm. Use other classes

The connectors of shaped steel bars can be implemented as a reference.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1

Connector coupler

Connecting sleeves or threaded sleeves used to mechanically connect steel bars to transmit axial tension and/or pressure from one steel bar to another.

Note 1.The casing is a device installed at the ends of two steel bars.

Note 2.A threaded sleeve is a threaded device used to connect steel bars together with matching threads.
