GB/T 42328-2023 is the English-translated version of 船用柴油机脱硫装置技术要求.
GB/T 42328-2023 is the Chinese national standard for the wet desulphurization devices that strip sulphur oxides out of marine diesel engine exhaust.
It sets the requirements, the operation and maintenance, and the marking, packaging, transport and storage of a device that clause 3 describes as a scrubbing tower, a scrubbing-liquid supply system, a lye or slurry preparation and supply system, a scrubbing-liquid treatment unit, a control and monitoring system and the exhaust and bypass piping.

1 Scope
This document specifies the requirements, operation and maintenance, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of desulfurization devices for marine diesel engines.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 desulfurization device
It consists of washing tower, washing liquid supply system, lye/slurry (preparation) supply system, washing liquid treatment device, control and monitoring system, exhaust and A device for removing sulfur oxides (SOx) from marine diesel engine exhaust consisting of bypass piping and other equipment.
