Scope

GB/T 42040-2022 is the English-translated version of 空间数据与信息传输系统 统一空间数据链路协议.

GB/T 42040-2022 is the Chinese national standard for the unified space data link protocol (USLP) used in space data and information transfer systems. It covers the services, the data unit formats, the protocol procedures, the management parameters and the support for the space data link security protocol.

Its contents list names the multiple access point package, access and byte stream services, the operational control field, virtual channel frame, master channel frame, insert and communications operation procedure management services, the transfer frame with its primary header, insert zone, data field and frame error control field, and normative appendices on the truncated transfer frame and on CRC-16 coding.

Clause 1 applies it to link-layer data transmission from spacecraft to ground, from ground to spacecraft and between spacecraft. Issued on 12 October 2022, it has applied since the same date.
