Scope

GB/T 42001-2022 is the English-translated version of 高压输变电工程外绝缘放电电压海拔校正方法.

GB/T 42001-2022 describes how the external insulation discharge voltage of high voltage transmission and transformation works is corrected for altitude, both for air gap discharge voltage and for insulator pollution flashover voltage, on 110 kV to 750 kV and plus or minus 400 kV to plus or minus 800 kV transmission lines, substations and converter stations.

Its contents list runs through the correction procedure, then the transmission line air gap, the substation air gap, the converter station air gap and the insulator external insulation.

Clause 1 applies it to projects at altitudes of 5000 m and below, with higher areas referring to it. It defines a high altitude area as one at an altitude of not less than 1000 m, and quotes GB/T 311.1 and GB/T 16927.1. Issued 14 October 2022, applied from 1 May 2023.

Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted.

1 Scope

This document describes the air gap discharge of 110kV~750kV and ±400kV~±800kV transmission lines, substations, converter stations, etc.

Altitude correction method for electric voltage and insulator pollution flashover discharge voltage.

This document is applicable to the altitude correction of the external insulation discharge voltage of power transmission and transformation projects in areas with an altitude of 5000m and below, and the altitude is 5000m. Refer to the above regions for use.

2 Normative references

The contents of the following documents constitute essential provisions of this document through normative references in the text. Among them, dated citations documents, only the version corresponding to that date applies to this document; for undated references, the latest edition (including all amendments) applies to this document.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 External insulation

The exposed surface of the air gap or solid insulation of the equipment exposed to the voltage.

3.2 High altitude area

Areas with an altitude of not less than 1000m.

3.3

According to the difference in dielectric strength between the average atmospheric conditions at the altitude and the standard reference atmospheric conditions during operation, the insulation coordination withstand voltage or discharge Factor for electrical voltage correction.

3.4 standard reference atmospheric conditions

Atmospheric conditions for which the standardized withstand voltage applies.

Note: The standard reference atmospheric conditions are temperature 20°C, pressure 101.3kPa, and absolute humidity 11g/m³.

4 External insulation discharge voltage altitude correction procedure

4.1 Positive conversion

Through altitude correction, the external insulation discharge voltage of power transmission and transformation projects in high altitude areas can be converted to the standard reference atmospheric condition of 0m above sea level
