Scope

GB/T 41770-2022 is the English-translated version of 基于背光成像技术的液体燃料喷射特性测试方法.

GB/T 41770-2022 is the Chinese national test method for liquid fuel sprays observed with backlit imaging. It specifies the test equipment, the test conditions, the test steps, the data processing and the test record.

The equipment covers the test environment, the fuel injection system, the image acquisition system and the synchronous control system; the conditions fix the ambient state, the fuel temperature in the tank and at the injector, the state the system has to be in before testing and the injection control parameters.

The steps go from arranging the equipment and setting the shooting area, light source, lens and camera to taking scale images, checking the synchronisation signal, recording and cleaning the optics.

Data processing yields the spray penetration distance and the spray cone angle. It was issued on 12 October 2022 and has applied since 12 October 2022.
