Scope
GB/T 41718-2022 is the English-translated version of 核电厂关键设备状态监测管理导则.
GB/T 41718-2022 is the Chinese guideline for managing the condition monitoring of key equipment in nuclear power plants. It specifies the general technical and management requirements, and applies to the design, operation and maintenance of the condition monitoring system for that equipment.
The document is built round the identification of key equipment, the condition monitoring itself, troubleshooting and the evaluation of health status, with informative annexes giving the identification criteria and the identification process for key equipment, examples of the main monitoring parameters for equipment failures, an example list of monitoring parameters and condition indicators, and a method for grading health status.
The terms it uses, among them alarm, single fault, fault, critical component, failure and performance, are drawn from GB/T 20921-2007 and NB/T 20281-2014. Issued on 14 October 2022, it has applied since 1 May 2023.

Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted.
1 Scope
This document specifies the general technical and management requirements for condition monitoring of key equipment in nuclear power plants.
This document is applicable to the design, operation and maintenance of the condition monitoring system for key equipment in nuclear power plants.
2 Normative references
There are no normative references in this document.
3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Alarm
Operational signals designed to notify personnel when anomalies in selected parameters or other logical combinations are encountered requiring corrective action, or information.
Note: An alarm is an abnormal interval that is more serious than an early warning. [Source: GB/T 20921-2007, 5.2]
3.2 Single fault
A failure that causes a single system or component to fail to perform its intended safety function, and various consequential failures resulting therefrom.
3.3 Fault
The state of a component when a component or component of the equipment deteriorates or occurs in an abnormal state that could cause the equipment to fail.
NOTE: A failure can be the result of a failure, but a failure may also exist without a failure. [Source: GB/T 20921-2007, 2.8]
3.4 Critical equipment
Equipment whose failure has a significant impact on the safe operation of the nuclear power plant and the availability of units or can lead to unacceptable consequences.
3.5 Failure
Loss of the ability to perform a prescribed function.
NOTE: A failure is an event distinct from a failure, which is a state. [Source: GB/T 20921-2007, 2.7]
3.6 Performance
The behavior, characteristics and efficiency of equipment or machinery during the operation of the process. [Source: NB/T 20281-2014, 3.3]
