1 Scope

This document defines the terms and definitions of farm machinery for the production of grain and fibre.

Note. Other terms commonly used for "farm machinery" are "farm machinery", "agricultural machinery", "livestock machinery" and "agricultural machinery".

This document applies to agricultural tractors and farm work machinery, and also to agricultural tractors for forestry, special purpose forests as defined by ISO 6814

Industrial machinery is not included.

3 Basic terms and definitions

3.1

machine

machinery

A combination consisting of several parts connected with a specific function, at least one of which can move, and is equipped or pre-configured.

Set up the power system.

Note. The terms "machine" and "machine" include a combination of several machines that are arranged and controlled to be used as a whole for the same purpose.

Agricultural tractors (4.1), self-propelled machinery (4.2), agricultural machinery and combinations of machinery mainly used for farm work.

Note 2.Any vehicle that is pre-tracted by a tractor and permanently equipped with implements or designed to handle materials, if technology allows the total mass and the kerb weight of the vehicle

If the ratio is less than 3.0, it is regarded as an interchangeable traction machine.

Speed based on the nominal design capability of the machine (tires as original equipment).

Note. The tire size is the largest diameter drive tire size on tractors and self-propelled machinery, but not necessarily the tire size on traction equipment.
