Scope

GB/T 41664-2022 is the English-translated version of 低NOx燃油燃气燃烧器评价方法与试验规则.

GB/T 41664-2022 sets out how oil and gas burners with low NOx combustion characteristics are classified according to their NOx emission value. It specifies the evaluation conditions, the test rules and the evaluation methods, and applies to low NOx oil and gas burners; other burners may be dealt with by reference to it.

The document defines the terms it works with, among them combustion efficiency, the effective volume of the furnace and the heat released per unit of effective volume in unit time, the load regulating ratio and the excess air coefficient.

It cites GB/T 11062 and GB/T 13610 for the analysis of natural gas and GB 17411 for marine fuel oil. Issued on 11 July 2022, it has applied since 1 November 2022.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Combustion efficiency

The actual heat released after the fuel burns as a percentage of the heat released when it is completely burned.

Note: Combustion efficiency is an important indicator to examine the sufficiency of fuel combustion.

3.2 Furnace effective volume

The geometric volume of the space within the boundary of the furnace where fuel combustion and effective radiative heat transfer are carried out.

3.3 Volumetric heat release rate of the furnace

The amount of heat released per unit of effective volume of the furnace in unit time, it is equal to the ratio of the heat input per unit time of the furnace to the effective volume of the furnace.

3.4 Load regulating ratio

The percentage of the average load of the burner to the rated load during the specified time.

3.5 Excess air coefficient

The percentage of air mass actually supplied to burn each kilogram of fuel versus the theoretical air mass required to completely burn each kilogram of fuel.
