Scope

GB/T 41576-2022 is the English-translated version of 压水堆核电厂装料后机组性能试验要求.

GB/T 41576-2022 sets the requirements for the unit performance tests that a pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant carries out after its first fuel loading.

It fixes the purpose of the tests, the conditions under which they are run, their content, the acceptance criteria and the test records and reports.

The document defines the terms it uses, commissioning, initial fuel loading, subcriticality, initial criticality, the low power test and the power test, and notes the usual power plateaus at 10%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 90% and 100% of power.

It applies to the unit performance test after the initial fuel loading of a pressurized water reactor plant, and cites NB/T 20145. It was issued on 11 July 2022 and has applied since 1 February 2023.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Commissioning

The process of operating installed nuclear power plant components and systems and verifying that their performance conforms to design requirements and related criteria.

Note: Commissioning includes tests without nuclear reactions and with nuclear reactions.

3.2 Initial fuel loading

The initial loading of nuclear fuel is carried out according to the core loading map, and the core flux monitoring is carried out during the loading process.

3.3 Subcriticality

The state of the reactor when its effective multiplication factor Keff < 1.

3.4 Initial criticality

The reactor is physically started for the first time under the rated thermal condition, reaching the criticality and realizing a self-sustaining chain fission reaction.

3.5 Low power test

Reactor performance tests under a power platform slightly above zero power.

3.6 Power test

A series of tests carried out under the specified power platform.

Note: Typical power decks include 10% power deck, 25% power deck, 50% power deck, 75% power deck, 90% power deck and 100% power deck
