Scope
GB/T 41500-2022 is the English-translated version of 柱塞泵用氧化物陶瓷柱塞.
GB/T 41500-2022 is the Chinese national standard for the oxide ceramic plungers of a plunger pump.
It gives the classification and the marking, the technical requirements - the ceramic and its density and hardness, the dimensions and their tolerances, the surface finish, the straightness and the bond to the metal end - the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions on marking, packaging, transport and storage.
It applies to the oxide ceramic plungers of reciprocating plunger pumps, and other pump plungers may follow it for reference. Plunger makers, pump builders and the plants that run the pumps use it. Issued on 15 April 2022, it has applied since 1 November 2022.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 17991 and the following apply to this document.
3.1 Oxideceramicplunger
With zirconia and alumina as the main raw materials, it is a fine ceramic product used as a plunger of a plunger pump, which is formed, fired and precisely machined.
4 Product classification and marking
4.1 Product Classification
According to the plunger material, it is divided into three categories. zirconia (Z), zirconia toughened alumina (ZTA) and alumina (A).
4.2 Product marking
Labeling order. product name, category code, product size.
Example: Plunger diameter (D) 50mm, total length (L) 350mm, made of zirconia toughened alumina plunger, marked as. plunger ZTA-Phi50/350.
5 Technical requirements
5.1 Appearance quality
The surface of the plunger should be free of pinholes, spots, defects and cracks visible to the naked eye.
