Scope
GB/T 41459-2022 is the English-translated version of 空间环境 空间太阳总辐照度.
GB/T 41459-2022 gives the total solar irradiance of space. It sets the division of the solar electromagnetic spectrum in free space, the total solar irradiance at Earth orbit, the standard values of total solar irradiance at the other planets and the solar spectral irradiance.
It applies to spacecraft design, to environmental analysis, to the design of the test parameters of ground simulation tests and to the analysis of on-orbit failures, and may be used for the design of optical systems and for spectral calibration in space missions.
Space agencies, satellite makers and test centres use it. Issued on 15 April 2022, it has applied since 1 November 2022.

Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted.
1 Scope
This document gives the spectral range division of solar electromagnetic radiation in free space, the total solar irradiance of Earth orbit, the sun of different planets Standard values for total irradiance and solar spectral irradiance.
This document is applicable to spacecraft design, environmental analysis and test parameter design of ground simulation tests, spacecraft on-orbit failure analysis, etc.
It can be used for optical system design, spectral calibration, etc. in space missions.
2 Normative references
The contents of the following documents constitute essential provisions of this document through normative references in the text. Among them, dated citations documents, only the version corresponding to that date applies to this document; for undated references, the latest edition (including all amendments) applies to this document.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 32452 and GB/T 37835 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Astronomicalunit
The average distance between the earth and the sun, the current accepted value is (149597870691±3)m. [Source: GB/T 37835-2019, 2.1]
3.2 Irradiance
Solar radiation energy per unit area per unit time in free space.
Note: The unit is W·m-2.
3.3 Solar constant
The solar irradiance projected by the sun to a unit area 1AU away from the sun and perpendicular to the direction of the sun's rays in a unit time.
4 Solar spectrum range
The space solar spectrum can be divided into the following bands according to the wavelength (lambda) range.
a) Gamma rays. electromagnetic waves with a wavelength range of 0.00001nm<=lambda< 0.001nm.
b) X-rays. electromagnetic waves with a wavelength range of 0.001nm<=lambda< 10nm.
