Scope
GB/T 41456-2022 is the English-translated version of 纳米技术 生产环境纳米二氧化钛粉尘浓度检测方法 分光光度法.
GB/T 41456-2022 gives a spectrophotometric method for the concentration of nano titanium dioxide dust in the air of a workplace, covering sample collection and treatment, the test, the handling of the data and the calculation of the result.
An atmospheric sampler draws the dust into a collection liquid to form a dispersion; the titanium is digested to titanium oxysulfate, which forms a strongly coloured complex with diantipyrylmethane (DAPM) or with hydrogen peroxide, and the absorbance of that complex at its maximum absorption wavelength is proportional to the titanium dioxide concentration over a certain range.
The concentration in the air then follows from the volume of air sampled and the volume of the dispersion. Two informative annexes work through a lower and a higher concentration example. It was issued on 15 April 2022 and has applied since 1 November 2022.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 30544.4 and the following apply to this document.
3.1 Nano titanium dioxide dust
Suspended in air, at least one dimension of titanium dioxide is less than 100 nm.
3.2 Collection liquid
The liquid medium that captures and retains nano-dust when using an atmospheric sampler for wet collection.
3.3 Nano dust dispersion
Capture fluid containing nano-dust.
Note: referred to as dispersion.
4 Principle of the measurement method
Using an atmospheric sampler, the nano-TiO2 dust in the air was collected into the capture liquid to form a titanium dioxide dust dispersion. Dioxide Titanium oxysulfate (see chemical reaction formula 1), the digestion product of titanium, undergoes complexation reaction with diantipyridine methane (DAPM) or hydrogen peroxide (H2O2).
In response, complex complexes with significant color are generated (see chemical reaction formula 2 and chemical reaction formula 3, respectively). Use a spectrophotometer to test the complexes in the corresponding The absorbance at the maximum absorption wavelength, the absorbance of the complex is proportional to the concentration of titanium dioxide within a certain range. Combined Air Sample Collector The concentration of titanium dioxide dust in the ambient air was calculated by using parameters such as volume and dispersion volume.
