Scope

GB/T 41189-2021 is the English-translated version of 蛋鸭营养需要量.

GB/T 41189-2021 sets the nutrient requirements of laying ducks, separating small from medium-sized types by body weight at 43 weeks of age, below or from 1.6 kg.

For each type it gives, from 0 weeks of age to 5% laying rate and then through the laying period, the dietary and daily requirements for apparent metabolizable energy, crude protein, amino acids, minerals, vitamins and linoleic acid, together with the growth or laying performance expected when the minimum requirements are met.

The laying period is split into early, peak and late lay, and small breeder ducks have their own tables. An informative annex tabulates common duck feed ingredients, fats and amino acid, mineral and vitamin additives.

Feed companies and duck farms use it to formulate diets. It was issued on 31 December 2021 and has applied since 1 July 2022.
