Scope

GB/T 41145-2021 is the English-translated version of 核电厂人因验证和确认.

GB/T 41145-2021 gives the criteria and methods for human factors verification and validation of the integrated human-system interface of nuclear power plants.

It describes the activities and processes involved, the design guidelines and test facilities, formative verification and validation during design, human factors design validation, human-system interface task support verification and integrated system validation, with scenario selection, participants, performance measures, experimental design, data analysis and the identification and recording of HEDs.

It also covers design implementation, deviations and the special considerations for new plants, for retrofits of existing plants and for local control areas. It applies to newly built nuclear power plants and to retrofits of the interface systems of plants in service, and other types of plant can use it as a reference. It was issued on 31 December 2021 and has applied since 1 July 2022.

Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted.

1 Scope

This document specifies the criteria and methods for human factors verification and validation activities for HMI integrated systems in nuclear power plants.

This document is applicable to newly built nuclear power plants, as well as the retrofit of man-machine interface integration systems of in-service nuclear power plants. Human-machine interface for other types of nuclear power plants The integrated system can be implemented by reference.

2 Normative references

The contents of the following documents constitute essential provisions of this document through normative references in the text. Among them, dated citations documents, only the version corresponding to that date applies to this document; for undated references, the latest edition (including all amendments) applies to this document.

3 Terms, Definitions and Abbreviations

3.1 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1.1 Verification

Identify the processes and activities designed or implemented to meet specified requirements from a human factors perspective. [Source: ISO 11064-7:2006, 3.7, with modifications]

3.1.2 Validation

Identify the processes and activities designed or implemented to meet the needs of a specific use or application from an ergonomics perspective. [Source: ISO 11064-7:2006, 3.6, with modifications]

3.1.3 Formative verification and validation

To improve the design process and activities by collecting objective evidence to discover the problems existing in the HMI integrated system.

3.1.4 Summative verification and validation

The process and activities of final compliance assessment for the design and implementation of human-machine interface integration systems by collecting objective evidence.

3.1.5 Human-system interface; HSI

The part of a system that is used by humans to interact with the system to accomplish their functions and tasks.

Note 1: The system refers to the nuclear power plant.

Note 2: In the operation and control center, the typical man-machine interface has alarm, display, control, procedures (paper, computer), communication, etc.

Note 3: In the local area, typical human-machine interfaces include local control panels/boxes/cabinets, valves, glove boxes, entrances and exits (different sizes on the equipment require partial or full body through openings), protocols (paper, computerized), communications, signage, etc.
