Scope
GB/T 40321-2021 is the English-translated version of 高强高韧型Al-Zn-Mg-Cu系铝合金板材.
GB/T 40321-2021 covers high-strength, high-toughness aluminium alloy plate of the Al-Zn-Mg-Cu series, such as alloy 7055.
It specifies the classification of the plate by designation, temper and size, the technical requirements, the test methods, qualification of the product combination, process control and the inspection rules, along with marking, packaging, transportation, storage, the quality certificate and the content of the order.
Terms follow GB/T 8005.1, and designations, tempers and sizes not listed in the standard are to conform to T/CNIA 0074.1, the association standard for aviation aluminium alloy sheet.
Among its references are GB/T 3190 for chemical composition, GB/T 6519 for ultrasonic inspection, GB/T 16865 for tensile testing and GB/T 22639 for exfoliation corrosion testing. It was issued on 20 August 2021 and has applied since 1 March 2022.
