Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB/T 4016-1983 "Glossary of petroleum products". This standard is mainly changed compared with GB/T 4016-1983.

--- Terminology expansion. This standard is larger than GB/T 4016-1983 in terms of the number of terms and the definition of terms.

---The term entry number is different. The term entry number in GB/T 4016-1983 consists of two sets of numbers, ie the category number is compliant.

Serial number; The term entry number of this standard consists of three sets of numbers, that is, the category number subclass number sequence number.

--- Index mode modification. There are three types of indexing methods in GB/T 4016-1983, Chinese character stroke index, Chinese pinyin index and English.

Name index; there are two index methods in this standard, the Chinese Pinyin Index and the English corresponding word (abbreviation) index.

1 Scope

This standard gives the raw materials, products, properties, tests and other related terms and corresponding terms involved in the production, processing and use of petroleum products.

Definitions, as well as an index of these terms.

This standard applies to the specification of terms used in the production, processing and use of petroleum products for the raw materials, products, properties and tests involved.

Expression.

The petroleum product related terms included in this standard are divided into three categories. raw materials and products, properties and tests, and refining processes.

2 term entry number

The term entry number in this standard consists of three sets of numbers. X.YY.ZZZ, with the following meanings.

---X indicates the number of the category to which the term entry belongs, 1 is the raw material and product, 2 is the nature and test, and 3 is the refining process;

---YY indicates the subclass number in each category;

---ZZZ indicates the sequential number of each term.

This standard provides two index terms for the Chinese Pinyin Index and the English Corresponding Word (Acronym) Index.

Note. In the Chinese Pinyin index, the words beginning with English letters or numbers are arranged in the order of the first English alphabet and the number in the beginning of the Chinese character.

Rear. In the English corresponding word index, the words beginning with a number are arranged after the entry beginning with an English letter.

4 Arrangement of terms

The terms and definitions of this standard are organized according to the terminology entry number specified (see Chapter 2).
