Foreword

This revised standard adopts ISO 5449. 1980 "SILICOCHROMIUM --- specifications and delivery conditions" (in English).

1 Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for silicon-chromium alloy, test methods, inspection rules and packaging, storage and transportation, marking and certification.

This standard applies to steelmaking and casting as a reducing agent and an alloying agent, as a reducing agent refining ferrochrome silicon chromium alloy.
