Scope
GB/T 39943-2021 is the English-translated version of LED灯串性能要求.
GB/T 39943-2021 sets the performance requirements and test methods for decorative light strings that use LED light sources and run on a supply voltage of no more than 250 V. It covers strings for indoor and outdoor use, whether connected in series, in parallel or in series-parallel.
Products are classified by the LED modules used in the string and by purpose, and after the general requirements and the general test conditions the technical requirements deal with marking, light colour, input power and lifetime, each with a matching test method.
The standard defines decorative lighting chains, unicolour and monochromatic light, and refers to GB 7000.9 for string lights, GB/T 24823-2017 for LED modules and GB/T 33721-2017 for LED lamp reliability tests. It was issued on 9 March 2021 and has applied since 1 October 2021.

3.1 Decorative lighting chains
The main function of luminescence is to attract attention, not to illuminate the surrounding environment.
3.2 Unicolour
Only one light color is presented, but the light color is not necessarily a spectrum of a single frequency (or wavelength).
Note: Examples of single light colors, such as white light, red light, etc.
3.3 Monochromatic light
Light of a single frequency (or wavelength).
4 Product Classification
4.1 Classification according to the LED modules used in the light string
LED light strings are divided into LED modules used in the light string. […]
