Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

Drafting.

This document replaces GB/T 39367.1-2020 "In vitro diagnostic testing systems for the detection and identification of pathogenic microorganisms - qualitative in vitro nucleic acid testing".

The "Test Procedures Part 1: General Requirements, Terms and Definitions" is the same as GB/T 39367.1-2020, except for structural adjustments and editorial changes.

In addition, the main technological changes are as follows.

---Added content on in vitro quantitative nucleic acid detection procedures (see Chapters 5, 7, and 9);

---Changes have been made to the general requirements for pathogen nucleic acid detection, including pathogen nucleic acid detection assays, performance validation and verification, quality assurance and risk management.

See the requested content (Chapters 4, 5, and 6; 4.1, 4.3, 4.4, Chapters 5, 6, and 9 of the 2020 edition);

---Added content related to the construction of microbial pathogen laboratories, medical laboratory quality practices, and the design and establishment of LDTs (see 4.2,...).

Chapters 7, 8, and 10.

This document is equivalent to ISO 17822:2020 "In vitro diagnostic testing systems – Detection and identification of pathogenic microorganisms based on nucleic acid amplification".

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

The URLs for the terminology databases maintained by ISO and IEC for standardization are as follows.

accuracy

The degree of consistency between the test results or measurement results and the true value.

Note 1.In practice, the true value is replaced by the accepted reference value.

Note 2.When the term "accuracy" is used for a set of test or measurement results, it consists of random error components and systematic error components, i.e., bias components.

Note 3.Accuracy is a combination of correctness and precision.
