1 Scope
This standard defines the terminology of nonwoven carding machines used for carding short fibers into a web.
2 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Roller carding machine webrolercard
Equipped with more than two work rolls, equipment for combing short fiber raw materials to form a loose web.
2.1.2
Workflowdirection
The fiber conveying direction (material conveying direction) during the whole work process.
2.1.3
Entryside
The side of the machine where the fiber is fed.
2.1.4
Deliveryside
The side of the fiber output on the machine.
2.1.5
Rightside
The observer faces the right-hand side of the web conveying direction.
2.1.6
Leftside
The observer faces the left-hand side of the web conveying direction.
