This document applies to hand-held wood milling for grooving or edge forming in wood and similar materials, plastics and non-ferrous metals except magnesium. Note 101.Wood milling machines mainly used for trimming the edges of materials are also called edge trimmers. NOTE 102.Wood mills used for cutting various materials by a rotary action are also known as rotary cutters. This document does not apply to grooving machines. This document replaces GB/T 3883.17-2005 "Safety of hand-held power tools - Part 2.Special requirements for wood milling and edge trimming machines"

"Requirements", compared with GB/T 3883.17-2005, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) Scope. Increase the applicable scope of wood milling (see Chapter 1);

b) Terminology. Modify "wood milling", add "base", "rotary cutter head", "type 1 wood milling", "type 2 wood milling", delete "edging machine" (see Chapter 3

c) General conditions for testing. instructions for increasing the quality of wood milling (see Chapter 5);

d) Markings and instructions. Modify the "rated no-load speed" and add additional safety instructions, clauses 8.14.2a), 8.14.2b) (see Section 8

e) Fever. delete 12.4 (see Chapter 12, Chapter 12 of the.2005 edition);

i) Modify Figure 101 and add Figure 102 and Figure 103 (see Figure 101, Figure 102, Figure 103, Figure 101 of the.2005 version);

j) Add Appendix I, Appendix K, and Appendix L (see Appendix I, Appendix K, and Appendix L);
