1 Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining sodium, calcium, magnesium and iron content in coal tar by inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometry.

This standard applies to the determination of sodium, calcium, magnesium, and iron content in low- and medium-temperature coal tar and high-temperature coal tar with a water content of less than 0.5%.

2 Normative references

The following documents are essential for the application of this document. For dated references, only the dated version applies to this article

Pieces. For undated references, the latest version (including all amendments) applies to this document.

GB/T 602 Preparation of standard solutions for the determination of impurities in chemical reagents

GB/T 1999 Coking oil products sampling method

GB/T 6682 Analytical laboratory water specifications and test methods

GB/T 8170 Numerical rounding rules and expression and judgment of limit values

3 Principle

The sample to be tested is dissolved in acid after being burned by open flame and ashing at high temperature, and then diluted with a volumetric flask to form a test solution. Test solution is atomized

After the system is atomized, an aerosol is formed, which is carried into the plasma of the spectrometer by the carrier gas, and is fully evaporated, atomized, and excited in a high temperature and inert argon atmosphere.

And ionization, when the atom or ion of the element to be measured is excited, the electrons transition at different energy levels within the atom, and are produced when the high energy state transitions to the low energy state.

Generate characteristic radiation, through the wavelength and relative intensity of characteristic radiation, qualitative and quantitative analysis of each element can be performed.
