Scope

GB/T 38275-2019 is the English-translated version of 润滑系统 检验规范.

China's national inspection specification for lubrication systems. It specifies the general requirements and the technical requirements for the various system types, beginning with thin oil systems. Inspecting a lubrication system is unlike inspecting most machinery because almost everything that matters is invisible in normal operation. The pump runs, the pressure gauge reads, and the machine gives no sign that one of its hundred lubrication points has been dry for a month. So the inspection has to be a positive verification at each point rather than an observation of the system: that the metering device is delivering, that the line is clear, that the lubricant reaching the bearing is the right one and is clean. It also has to cover the reservoir, the filtration and the cooling, because a system delivering contaminated or overheated oil is doing harm rather than good while appearing to function correctly.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules, marking inspection and packaging inspection of the lubrication system. This standard applies to the inspection of lubrication systems.
